Job summary

TASKids in Richmond, VA is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Therapist to support children with autism and related needs with in-home and clinic-based behavioral therapy under BCBA/LBA supervision. You will implement treatment plans, collect data, and help families by modeling techniques and providing ongoing feedback.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS and ABA experience; bilingual applicants are highly valued. The role includes a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, flexible afternoon hours, paid

Qualifications

• Experience in autism or related fields is required.
• Minimum BA/BS with 6 months–1 year ABA experience; BA/BS preferred in psychology, counseling, social work or related fields.
• Available primarily 3pm-7pm multiple days per week with potential for morning hours; commit to 1 year of employment.
• Strong clinical insight and critical thinking skills.

Part- Time Behavior Therapist

Hours: Mon- Fri from 4:00pm - 6:00pm

$500.00 ABA Sign-On Bonus*

Pay range $20.00 - $26.00

Job Requirements

• Have experience in the field of autism and special needs, education, mental health or ABA.
• Minimum BA/BS with 6 months – 1 years’ experience with ABA. BA/BS preferred in the fields of psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, school psychology, education, special education, ABA, or related field. Individuals with other experience working with children are encouraged to apply.
• Available primarily 3pm - 7pm multiple days per week with potential for morning hours as well; able to maintain consistent availability and schedule; Commit to 1 year of employment
• Possess strong clinical insight, and critical thinking skills.
• Bilingual speaking therapists highly desired.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license and driver's insurance.

Job Responsibilities

• Be fun, energetic, and motivating for the children and families we work with
• Provide skills training services and/or behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families both in in home and clinic settings.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions including session notes and data collection.
• Provide feedback to parents/caregivers under the direction of the BCBA/LBA.
• Collaborate with other technicians and clinical staff in the agency, as well as schools and other therapies client's receive.
• Able to work as a technician who implements treatment plans under the supervision of the BCBA/LBA, seeking out additional support and supervision from clinical team as needed
• Participate in on-going trainings and supervision.
• Must meet all training and certification requirements.
• Must obtain RBT Certification within 60 days of employment

Physical Demands

• Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, computer typing, standing, fetching documents from file cabinets).
• Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
• Need to be able to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.)
