Job summary

Yarmouth Elementary School is seeking a part-time long-term substitute Band Teacher to provide beginning band instruction for fourth- and fifth-grade students. The position runs November 19 through December 22, Monday–Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The successful candidate will engage students, maintain a positive learning environment, and help develop foundational skills on instruments while building relationships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• K-8 Elementary Endorsement (020) required.
• Teaching certification with a music endorsement preferred.
• Experience managing classrooms and communicating with families is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lessons for beginning band.
• Teach proper instrument technique and care.
• Support music reading and ensemble skills.
