Qualifications

• Certification/License: Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Experience: prior teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers elementary curriculum aligned with school district goals and objectives.
• Promotes a virtual classroom environment that is safe and conducive to differentiated instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for effective use of instructional time.
• Assesses student learning and differentiates instruction for individual needs.
• Instructs students in citizenship and other applicable subject matters.
• Pursues ongoing professional knowledge through seminars and workshops.
• Maintains accurate records of grades and attendance per district procedures.
• Encourages parental involvement and effective communication with students and parents.
• Maintains classroom behavior standards and collaborates with staff on curriculum evaluation.
• Coordinates with elementary staff and participates in meetings.
• Selects and requisitions books and supplies; administers standardized tests.
