Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Education with emphasis in reading, language, or communication.
• Skill in communications and human relations with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in computer use and applications that support teaching and learning.
• Educational philosophy focused on student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for assigned classes.
• Engage in ongoing student learning assessment to determine effectiveness of instruction and curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment respectful of diversity and multiculturalism.
• Maintain accurate student records and reports as requested by administrative offices.
• Identify students needing assistance and refer to Student Services.
• Remain current on developments in teaching and GED content and use of best practices.
• Develop and update course curricula as needed to maintain relevance.
• Prepare and update course syllabi and work with other departments.
• Assist in enforcement of college regulations and report student conduct violations.
• Meet weekly office hours and fulfill duties to meet needs.
• Meet Wisconsin Technical College System professional development requirements.
• Create individualized GED educational plans based on students' needs.
