Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach position in Intercollegiate Athletics for FY 2027. The Assistant Baseball Coach will support all aspects of program management under the Head Baseball Coach, with a focus on coaching, game preparation, recruiting, field maintenance, and student-athlete development.

The role requires strong leadership, reliability, and the ability to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous college baseball coaching or college/professional playing experience required.
General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, NJCAA and NCAA policies and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

Coach position players as assigned by the head coach; work with pitchers and catchers as directed; call pitches during games and run bullpens during practice.
Assist hitters during practice and pre-game batting practice; position players during games; coach first or third base; assist in game preparation and in-game strategy.
Organize game charts and scouting reports; recruit student-athletes; assist with field maintenance and game-day field prep.
Manage uniform distribution and return; assist in camps and clinics; provide academic study hall support and weights/conditioning instruction; participate in fundraising and volunteer events.
