Olive-Harvey College invites applications for an Assistant Coach (Part-Time) to assist the Head Coach in developing student-athletes and sustaining competitive performance for the baseball program.

The role emphasizes instruction, mentorship, and strategic leadership to support student success, with an emphasis on academics and a season-long coaching assignment at City Colleges of Chicago.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university OR 60 or more college credits required. Bachelor’s degree preferably in Physical Education or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of coaching and/or professional/collegiate playing experience required.
  • Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in the instruction, development, and evaluation of student athletes.
  • Demonstrates sport-specific skills and techniques during practices and training sessions.
  • Evaluates athletes’ performance and provides constructive feedback to help student athletes improve.
  • Assist with the recruitment of student athletes.
  • Advises students with respect to athletic performance, personal development, and academic progress.
  • Assists with equipment assessment and travel arrangements.
  • Assists with training, practices and coaching in league, conference and tournament play.
  • Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
