Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a friendly, experienced part-time bartender to join the Legends team on the Notre Dame campus. This on-call role supports high-energy events and everyday service in a busy hospitality environment.

You will mix drinks and handle guest orders according to recipes, ensure a welcoming bar atmosphere, and comply with health, safety, and Indiana alcohol regulations. Pay is $8.78/hour plus tips, with flexible on-call hours.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred; knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations required
• Ability to obtain a bartending license
• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to serve alcohol in Indiana
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• A positive attitude and a team‑first mindset

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
• Greet and interact with guests in a courteous and engaging manner, taking drink and limited food orders while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Keep the bar stocked with necessary supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards—as well as university and state alcohol service regulations.
• Process credit card transactions using a POS system and ensure proper card handling procedures
