Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Full-Time Bartender at The Forum Hotel in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves preparing and serving drinks while providing exceptional service to guests to ensure memorable experiences.

What You'll Do

Prepare and serve drinks for guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, providing outstanding service and creating memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and promptly serve them food and beverages.
• Pour drinks, following standard pours, and process orders accurately in the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks to guests and fulfill server orders.
• Notify a manager if a guest becomes intoxicated or behaves inappropriately toward other patrons.
• Manage ice bins, trash, kegs, and stock beer and wine coolers.
• Clean and maintain shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming specifications.
• Communicate cooperatively with support crew and management.
• Unload deliveries and stock the bar.
• Be flexible to take on additional duties beyond the core bartending role when necessary.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending experience preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of wine and spirits, strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with credit card and cash handling procedures, and ability to record accurate tip‑out sheets and calculate bills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
