Job summary

PHG is seeking a part-time Barista for Un Deux Trois. You will provide exceptional customer service while preparing coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages. You will greet customers, take orders, and ensure quality across hot and cold drinks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include operating espresso equipment, stocking, handling cash, and maintaining a clean work area while upholding food safety standards and legal alcohol service requirements. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Experience in bartending or serving alcohol is a plus.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state/local laws.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and cocktails, according to established recipes and responsible serving practices.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment, such as blenders and bar tools.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages.
• Maintain and stock grab and go and retail sections of the store.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar, counters, and customer areas.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Stock and replenish supplies as needed.
• Provide recommendations and answer customer questions about menu and retail items.
• Build rapport with customers and provide friendly, energetic, and exceptional customer service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
• Prepare light food items, such as pastries or sandwiches as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Impact

• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and cocktails, according to established recipes and responsible serving practices.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Operate and maintain bar equipment, such as blenders and bar tools.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages.

• Adhere to all local and state laws regarding responsible alcohol service, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.

• Build rapport with customers and provide friendly, energetic, and exceptional customer service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
• Prepare light food items, such as pastries or sandwiches as needed.

Your Skills/Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista preferred but not required; training will be provided.

• Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol server certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) as required by local and/or state law.
