Job summary

ASM Global at Jekyll Island Convention Center is seeking part-time Banquet Server/Set up staff to deliver high-quality catering for banquets. You will assist with event setup, garnishes, beverages, and service in line with standard recipes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event.
• Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads.
• Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc.
• Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary.
• Prepare tables with place settings as instructed.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the standard drink recipes.
• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Establish and maintain positive client relationships.
• Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event.
• Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area.
• Performs cash handling and/or cashiering functions based on demand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
