Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Clerk to help keep the bakery department running smoothly and smelling amazing. You will greet customers, assist with product locations and orders, and ensure fresh, well-presented items throughout your shift.

In this role you’ll manage stocking, sanitation, and register transactions while collaborating with a friendly team to deliver a warm, welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong customer service and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming bakery experience.
• Assist customers with product locations, lifting items, and placing custom orders.
• Monitor freshness and stock levels; replenish as needed.
• Prepare, finish, and arrange baked goods; rotate products from cooler/freezer.
• Maintain sanitation and a clean, organized work area at all times.
• Operate the bakery register and process payments when applicable.
• Support other store areas as needed and follow company policies.
