Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to help keep the bakery running smoothly. You’ll greet customers, assist with product selection, prep and replenish baked goods, and maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation.

No prior experience is required; Hy-Vee will train. This hourly role offers a supportive team environment, flexible hours, and opportunities to learn bakery operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome in the bakery.
• Help customers find products and assist with orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish and replenish baked goods, pulling from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Check in and store products, review invoices, and assist with POS transactions.
• Assist in other store areas as needed and support a positive customer experience.
