Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investigator to conduct comprehensive background screenings. This is a fully remote, part-time hourly position with potential to become full-time. Candidates must be able to obtain a New Hampshire Private Investigator license.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct in-depth investigations in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws and company policies.
2. Utilize investigative databases and search techniques to locate, collect, and verify information.
3. Conduct reference interviews, analyze credit reports, verify employment history, professional licensing, education, and perform open-source investigations.
4. Organize and maintain logs, files, forms, and reports.
5. Collaborate effectively with Recruitment, Human Resources, Executive, and Operations teams.
6. Monitor and adhere to internal operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures.
7. Prepare clear, well-written, and comprehensible reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience required.
• Proficient in current technologies and open-source search methodologies.
• Competent with MS Office Suite and other database systems.
• Willing to sign an NDA and maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional demeanor during stressful situations.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask with analytical thinking.

Additional Requirements

Must meet company standards for background screening. Capable of handling sensitive information, working with authorities, and maintaining professionalism. Physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions, including computer use, handling multiple tasks, occasional lifting, and working flexible hours. Frequent sitting and vision adjustments required.
