Job summary

Napleton Hyundai of Hazelwood is seeking a Part-Time Cashier/Receptionist to join our automotive team. The role centers on processing customer transactions, handling payments, and delivering a positive customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have cashier experience, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance; must be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends/holidays. Background checks will be conducted as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Cashier experience is preferred; automotive dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Professional appearance is expected.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as per local laws/regulations.
• Must be 18 years of age or older per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Calculate customer bills using the dealership's computer system.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts.
• Record totals of counter tickets and repair orders; verify cash, checks and payments at end of shift.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to appropriate staff for resolution.
• Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers

• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays

Job Requirements:
