Job summary

Napleton Hyundai of Hazelwood is seeking a part-time Cashier/Receptionist to join our dealership team. You will handle customer transactions, calculate bills, and process payments to ensure a smooth, accurate checkout experience for customers.

The ideal candidate is accurate, customer-focused and comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Prior cashier experience, especially in automotive settings, is a plus. A background check may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Cashier experience is desirable, especially in automotive dealerships.
• Strong communication and professional appearance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all payments
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to the appropriate person for resolution
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate the customer's bill using the dealership's computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers

• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cashier experience, automotive dealership experience is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
