Job summary

Positive Development in Jackson Township, NJ is seeking a part-time Child Development Specialist to work onsite with autistic children. You will help them build communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based, relationship-focused activities.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinicians and supervisors, with paid training and clear pathways for growth. The role offers direct pay of $22–$28 per hour and a separate admin/training rate of $20 per hour, with weekday and weekend

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (must be 18+)
• Valid driver's license + reliable transportation
• Ability to perform physical tasks including floor play and lifting up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and shared activities
• Create meaningful connections to help children think, create, and engage with the world
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve strong outcomes with fewer session hours
• Track progress by documenting session notes and goal outcomes
• Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to build clinical skills and confidence
• Learn how evidence-based developmental care works in real life
