Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Driver I - Non-DOT at our Indiana location. The role focuses on safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on Auction property, driving vehicles to and from lots and customer businesses, and moving vehicles through sale lanes in compliance with safety rules.

The position is hourly, with a standard Mon/Tues/Thurs 8am–5pm shift. A valid license and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to walk long distances.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day safely.
• Move vehicles to designated areas on premises and to customer locations.
• Line up and park vehicles in correct order as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump start vehicles when necessary.
• Notify supervisor if a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence.
