Job summary

Cox Automotive in Florida is seeking a Driver I - Non-DOT to safely move, stage, and park vehicles on auction property. You will drive vehicles to and from auction lots and customer businesses, ensuring adherence to safety rules and procedures.

The role is on-site with early morning shifts and requires a valid license, good driving record, and ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 15 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, and stand.
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds and operate basic vehicle-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing driving rules.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary.
• Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
