Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. in Holyoke, MA, seeks an Attending Physician to oversee the primary medical care for residents at our facilities. You will serve as the primary care provider with a dedicated NP or PA partner, collaborating to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position is part-time (1 day per week) with total annual compensation of $50,000–$60,000, and includes benefits such as paid time off and malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• A board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC).
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), taking responsibility for their medical management
• Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
• Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
• Work closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care
