Job summary

Durham Academy (DA) is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer to support middle school athletics in Durham, NC, beginning August 1, 2024. This role requires current AT certification and NC licensure eligibility, with a background in high school settings and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include injury prevention, clinical evaluation, immediate and emergency care, and rehab, with emphasis on collaboration with the Athletic Director and school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA/BOC).
• Valid NC state licensure or eligible for licensure.
• One year experience as athletic trainer in a high school setting; collegiate experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Abundant energy and enthusiasm for middle and high school athletics.
• Experience with Google Suite, Outlook, and EMR.
• Willingness to collaborate with a diverse school community.
