Job summary

EPIC Physical Therapy is hiring an athletic trainer to work at local Johnston County charter schools under contract with American Leadership Academy. The role supports an inaugural athletic training program with duties including coverage for high school athletics and occasional middle school, maintaining records, and coordinating with clinical supervision.

The position requires NC licensure, CAATE-accredited degree, and CPR/ECC certification, with a flexible schedule to accommodate school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-accredited college or university.
• Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners.
• Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements for licensure and certification.
• Maintain current CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care certification.
• Experience in middle school/high school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish an athletic training program for high school athletics and occasional middle school coverage.
• Follow sport-specific and venue-specific protocols for conditioning, return-to-sport, and EAPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for treatments, injuries, and communications.
• Comply with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Provide coverage at home events and practices from fall to spring seasons.
• Coordinate with EPIC Physical Therapy supervision and contracting school athletic directors.
