University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer (64% approx. 27 hours/week) for a 9-month contract.

The role includes serving as a preceptor for the Athletic Training Program and supporting the Exercise and Sport Science Department with clinical education and research tasks. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, BOC certification, Wisconsin licensure or eligibility, and related athletic training experience.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• BOC certification is required.
• Wisconsin licensure as an Athletic Trainer or eligibility is required.
• Related athletic training experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• Advise, develop, and implement injury and illness prevention plans and safety measures for practices, events, and facilities.
• Evaluate, treat, rehabilitate, and document injuries/illnesses in coordination with healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate patient care and referrals with medical resources and professionals.
• Serve as onsite healthcare provider for assigned teams during practices, competitions, and events.
