Job summary

The Passaic Board of Education is seeking an Athletic Coach for the Winter season in Passaic, NJ. This is a part-time position with duties coordinating practices, games, and compliance with district policies.

Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey teaching certification or substitute certification; prior coaching experience preferred; strong communication and organizational skills; background check and US citizenship proof required.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teacher certification or Passaic County Substitute Certification.
• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport preferred.
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and high standards of conduct among athletes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Has knowledge of policies and implements them.
• Implements state and league regulations.
• Attend meetings and maintain discipline.
• Assist in scheduling, transportation, and tournaments.
• Provide guidance and safeguards for athletes and equipment.
• Direct and supervise student managers and staff.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
• Ensure proper administration of injuries forms and paperwork.
