Job summary

SAIC is seeking a part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor at Tucson International ATCT to deliver high-quality classroom and simulation training. The candidate should have FAA CPC certification, experience controlling live traffic, and the ability to mentor students including Remote Pilot Operators.

Curriculum design involvement and collaboration with FAA personnel are expected. The role emphasizes hands-on instructional skills, familiarity with ATC simulators (e.g.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum five years FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic.
• Experience as contract Instructor at an FAA facility at Tucson ATCT level.
• Strong technical skills with ATC automation and simulation systems.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators; contribute to curriculum design.
• Desirable CPC experience at Tucson ATCT (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom and/or simulation training.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
• Participate in curriculum design and development.
• Demonstrate and pursue radar and non-radar simulation lab certifications.
• Collaborate with FAA personnel to meet training needs.
• Support training services across ATC facilities as required.
