The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success! Stores count on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep the shelves fully stocked with good, fresh food and create an all around great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a store section as assigned, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing, check product date codes for rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays. Review invoices/bills for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management.
• Operate a cash register, receive payments, make change, process check/charge/debit transactions. Handle cash and credit refunds when approved.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers to their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively to customers and staff.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Extra Skills

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred)
