The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is key to our success! Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for customers.

What You'll Do

• Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure correct pricing, check product date codes for proper rotation, stock shelves, displays, and cases. May prepare perishable products.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays. Review invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all store areas and parking lot as directed.
• Operate cash register, handle payments, make change, and process refunds as approved.
• Verify customer eligibility for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Ability to understand simple instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
