Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks a Sustainability Associate to help advance campus initiatives. This part-time role requires roughly 10–15 hours per week, collaborating with interns, office staff, and faculty on assigned sustainability projects, including outdoor garden work and zero-waste programs.

You will collect data, assist STARS reporting, plan events, and help communicate with groups across SGA, facilities, administration, and students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or public policy.
• Experience with data collection and reporting (e.g., STARS) is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with diverse campus groups.

Responsibilities

• Student engagement: build activities, promote zero-waste, maintain gardening projects, field trips, events.
• Data collection: track sustainability data and STARS reporting; guide policy through research.
• Establish and maintain relationships with SGA, facilities, administration, students and faculty.
• Content creation: write newsletters, social media content; manage video editing.

Compensation Range:$20.11 - $27.04Position Summary:Hiring compensation range: $ 20.11 to $ 27.04 depending on qualifications.Job Summary:Sustainability associates are expected to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week working on sustainability initiatives, projects, or topics assigned by the Office of Sustainability. Collaboration with other interns, office staff, and faculty is required.
