Job summary

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a dependable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. You’ll provide coverage, help maintain appropriate ratios, engage children with play, art, music, and outdoor activities, and assist with snacks, diapering, transitions, and daily routines.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Daycare, preschool, childcare, camp, or early childhood experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and teacher break coverage as needed
• Support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms
• Engage children through play, art, music, sensory activities, and outdoor experiences
• Assist with afternoon snacks, diapering/toileting, transitions, and daily routines
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Support family pick-up and end-of-day classroom routines
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized classrooms
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and center leadership
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–6:30 PM

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is looking for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule. You’ll provide support across classrooms as needed, help maintain appropriate ratios, and create a positive end to the school day for children and families.

What You’ll Do
