The Malvern School of Valley Forge, PA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time role (3:00pm–6:00pm) in our warm, child-centered program.

You will support the implementation of an early childhood education curriculum, maintain a safe learning environment, and communicate with parents to meet expectations. A high school diploma and childcare experience are required; CDA or college credits are a plus, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with young children in a licensed facility is preferred or 15 college credits plus 1250 hours of experience.
• Pursuing a CDA or degree in the field is encouraged.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Education whose general duties will be as follows.

• Teacher assists in the implementation of a superior Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and Malvern School philosophy.
• Teacher maintains a safe, healthy and educational environment for the class.
• Teacher communicates regularly with parents, in person and through the use of technology, meeting (or exceeding) parent expectations.

What we need from you:

• High school diploma and be at least 18 years of age
• At least 2500 hours (1 year, 4 months) months of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility OR 15 relevant college credits (or CDA) and at least 1250 hours (8 months) documented experience with young children in a licensed facility
• Must be (or be willing to start) pursuing a CDA (Child Development Associate)ORa degree in the field
