Job summary

ymcastark is looking for an Assistant Swim Team Coach to support the Head Coach at practices and meets at our Ashland YMCA. The role emphasizes competitive aquatics knowledge and strong leadership to guide young swimmers.

The position is part-time with a typical 6–10 hour weekly schedule and pay of $11–$12 per hour, commensurate with experience. Join a team-focused environment that promotes safety and development.

Qualifications

• Background and knowledge in competitive aquatics.
• Excellent leadership and communication with swimmers, parents and staff.
• Ability to motivate swimmers at practices and meets.
• Current YMCA lifeguard and BLS certifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular practices as scheduled by head coach.
• Approximately 6-10 hours a week.
• Attend YMCA dual meets as needed.
• Assist Head Coach in planning swim meet and activities.
• Other duties as directed by the Head Coach.
