Job summary

Dollar Tree in Kalispell, MT seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and supervise associates while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store communications and payroll records.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping including payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Follow policies, safety guidelines, and train/guide store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
