Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Flowood, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store functions, supervise associates, train staff, ensure safety and cash handling, and help with opening/closing procedures while maintaining displays and inventory. This role requires strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills to create a positive shopper experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communicate store activities to staff.
• Maintain promotional displays and keep storefront fixtures effective.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Ensure well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
