Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment in Ohio.

You will assist with day-to-day store functions, train and supervise associates, manage inventory and cash handling, and ensure safety and policy compliance while delivering a positive shopping experience. This is a part-time role with opportunities to develop leadership skills within the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandising schematics).
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotions and store-front displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
