Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Shrewsbury, PA to support store operations and customer service. You will help supervise and develop Store Associates, manage daily activities, and ensure a clean, organized store environment that meets company standards.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle multiple duties in a fast-paced setting. Part-time schedule and ADA compliance considerations apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and refreshed, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
