Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Saint Marys, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help create a positive, efficient shopping environment.

You will help organize merchandise, supervise store associates, and ensure safety and adherence to company policies. The role offers part-time hours and opportunities to lead a hardworking team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store displays and fixtures for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure staff follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment.
