Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Elkins, WV is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the team. You will support opening/closing, merchandise flow, cashier duties, and loss prevention while delivering excellent service.

This is a part-time role with growth opportunities, requiring strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Join our team to maintain clean, organized stores and provide a positive shopping experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-organized store areas according to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates; maintain a respectful environment.
