Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in a senior affordable housing community. The role covers daily administration, resident assistance, and ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programs.

This part-time position (20 hours/week) works Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, at Cherry Blossom and Woodview Court communities in Ohio, with a focus on leasing support, rent processing, and timely reporting on occupancy and financials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in property management is a plus.
• Experience in property management, preferably affordable housing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in property management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the property to run smoothly.
• Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly.
• Assist in leasing activities including showings, applications, and background checks.
• Help manage rent collections, enforce lease terms, and address delinquencies.
• Maintain records of tenant interactions, financials, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely work orders.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 regulations.
• Prepare reports on occupancy, financial status, and metrics.
• Support budget prep and financial planning with Property Manager.
