Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Assist in store operations by stepping in on the sales floor and supporting leadership when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, handling responsibilities with professionalism.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote additional benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand sales goals and key performance indicators such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates and merchandising strategies.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Maintain store security by preventing theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
• Help keep the stockroom organized and the store tidy.
• Support the development of a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay rate: $21.60 - $24.85 per hour. Final salary depends on education, experience, location, and other factors.
