Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can find the merchandise they love. You’ll utilize your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, leveraging your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Assist in store operations and step up to support the team and management when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, handling responsibilities with professionalism.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add-on sales using benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand sales goals and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates and merchandising strategies.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Maintain store security and prevent theft in collaboration with store management.
• Support stockroom organization and store cleanliness.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $17.20 - $19.75 per hour. Final salary depends on education, experience, location, and other factors.
