Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, helping fans find their favorite merchandise, and supporting daily store operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Support the management team by stepping in for leadership support when needed, including covering the sales floor.
• Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring security and operational procedures are followed.
• Process sales transactions at the register, using your fandom knowledge to promote additional sales and manage register closings.
• Understand sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving store sales targets.
• Assist with planogram updates, merchandising, and store layout changes.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain an organized stock room and a tidy store environment.
• Support the development of a passionate and collaborative team.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $17.20 - $19.75 per hour. Final salary will be determined based on education, location, experience, and role requirements.
