Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, helping fellow fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.

Pay range starting at $10.75/hr-$12.40/hr.

Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed, but final salary depends on factors such as education, location, experience, and training.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Support store operations by stepping in and providing leadership support when needed.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote add-on sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Understand sales goals and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
• Maintain organized stock room and tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform additional activities as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and team development.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
