We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
- Support store operations by stepping in on the sales floor and assisting the management team when needed.
- Open and close the store as required, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Process sales transactions at the register, utilizing your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle cash register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trends to management and headquarters.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
- Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any other activities as assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience, especially if you love music and pop culture!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and team development.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
