We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a vital part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting with leadership tasks.
• Open and close the store responsibly, ensuring security and readiness.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add-on sales using store benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup, while communicating shortages or overages to management.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising strategies.
• Communicate fashion and music trend insights to management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience; passion for music and pop culture is a plus.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store environment, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
