Under moderate supervision, the Part Time Assistant II, Biotech Labposition is responsible for multiple functions in Biotechnologylaboratory preparation. Activities involve a variety of routinetasks such as cleaning glassware, and cleaning and maintaining thelaboratory, and many non-routine tasks that require independentjudgment to resolve lab-related issues. The position requires thedependable and accurate preparation of materials, equipment,reagents and buffers to exacting specifications required forsuccessful student laboratory investigations. Responsibilities mayinclude tracking laboratory chemicals, supplies and equipment.Position refers problems to experts as needed.
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods ofstanding; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching,reaching, or similar activities; or ability to lift moderatelyheavy items, such as boxes of supplies or equipment. The work mayrequire specific, but common, physical characteristics andabilities, such as above average agility and dexterity
Hourly Pay Rate is $15.92
