Job summary

Shadow Hills Golf Club in Indio, CA is seeking a motivated part-time Assistant Golf Professional to enhance member and guest experiences while expanding knowledge of golf operations. Responsibilities include POS and tee time operations, billing, lesson planning, and coordinating with staff.

Preference for Bachelor's degree plus four years golf experience or PGA member; position requires great customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with four years golf experience preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
• Registered PGA Member preferred.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering point of sale revisions and tee time system needs for green fee sales and merchandise.
• Coordinate with Accounting on policy revisions and implementation.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, handle check-ins, collect payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Track force posts and no-show charges as applicable.
• Promote all club golf activities.
• Assist in creating lesson plans and providing individual and group instruction.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked golf shop.
• Assist retail buyer with procurement and merchandising.
• Prepare for all golf outings including scorecards, rules sheets, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
• Monitor members' scores, report handicapping to USGA, and bill members.

Education

Bachelor's Degree and four years golf experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Registered PGA Member preferred
