Job summary

Allied Universal in Yuma, AZ, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a part-time role at a government healthcare location. You will perform armed patrols, deter unauthorized activity, and respond to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include at least one year of armed security or related experience, possession of an Armed Guard Card or equivalent license, and a HS diploma. A background check and drug screen are required, CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel and responding public-service agencies.
