Job summary

Allied Universal in El Paso, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part Time) to monitor and protect a government location. You will provide customer service, conduct armed patrols, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies with calm, professional action.

Position offers a part-time schedule, on-site work, training, and access to our Claim a Shift platform to customize hours and earn additional pay; applicants must meet minimum law enforcement/military qualifications, be 21+, and pass

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government law-enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate law-enforcement personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, activities, and property conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
