Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer in Austin, TX. The role offers flexible hours with fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, providing a reliable base schedule at an assigned site.

Pay rate is $26.50 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service at a retail grocery location, responding to incidents, armed patrols, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 years armed security.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must be 21+ and have a valid driver’s license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a retail grocery location while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly per protocol.
• Conduct armed patrols of store, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and document observations and shift activities.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports per site procedures.
