Job summary

Allied Universal in Seattle, WA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Response to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other facilities. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience are preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining professional communication with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
