Job summary

Columbia Association is seeking friendly Arena Attendants to help run our Basketball Arena, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment for members, especially youth and teens.

You will manage arena operations during shifts, de-escalate conflicts, assist with program setup, and engage with the community in a fast-paced recreational setting. Training provided; CPR/AED certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• High school attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere using CA’s 6/12 rule.
• Assist members with questions, concerns, and information about CA programs and services.
• Maintain a friendly, approachable presence throughout the Arena.
• Organize and monitor pick-up basketball games to ensure fair, safe play.
• Prepare the Arena for scheduled programs and activities.
• Raise and lower basketball rims as needed.
• Keep the Arena clean, organized, and ready for use at all times.
• Close down the Arena at the end of the night and ensure all members exit politely and promptly.
